When over the hilltop the moon ascends,
Beguiled by the bonfire glow,
The legends of old and the ancient lore
Will come alive once more.
There are in this world, without any doubt,
Such cravens who would abuse
The old way of life we so proudly hold
Who would take our birthright - our right to choose.

When the ocean strikes at our ship's cheekbone
With waves that ravage and rip,
Straining to send us to watery graves,
Breaking the helmsman’s grip,
Oh how we will laugh in the face of the storm,
Oh how our voices will ring!
We'll power the oars, and with all our might
Our elders' glory we'll sing.

Light the fires on the highest heights!
See them burn – lighting up our hearts

With fire and embers,
Our truth we remember,
In this life and forever,

Calling to stones and crows,
Everywhere the wild wind blows

The sacred lore in our deep heart's core
